Injector Fitment and Compatibility:

Fitment: DW injectors are designed for original equipment (OE) manifolds and fuel rails. Using aftermarket components may lead to fitment issues. Ensure all injector parts are intact, lubricate O-rings with the provided super lube, and verify no OE parts are missing. For aftermarket setups, consult DW's technical support for compatibility guidance.
Fuel Compatibility: All DW injectors are suitable for ethanol fuels (e.g., E85). However, the Bosch EV14 2200cc injector (part number 16s-xx-2200-x) is not compatible with MTBE-oxygenated fuels due to potential seal swelling and flow restriction.

Injector Selection and Performance:

Sizing: Injector size depends on factors like power output, fuel type, and pressure. DW offers an online fuel injector calculator to estimate appropriate sizes.
Fuel Pressure: A system operating pressure between 40-80 psi is recommended for optimal performance. Maximum pressures vary by injector type: Bosch EV14 injectors can handle up to 8 bar (116 psi), while Denso injectors have a maximum of 7 bar (102 psi).

Installation and Tuning:
Tuning Requirement: Installing larger-than-stock injectors necessitates tuning (e.g., ECU flash, piggy-back, stand-alone systems) to ensure proper engine operation.
Pre-Tuning Consideration: Without appropriate tuning, engines may struggle to start or run inefficiently with high-flow injectors. Consult with a tuner for a temporary base tune if driving the vehicle to a tuning facility.

Technical Specifications:
Injector Types: Top-feed injectors sit under the fuel rail, while side-feed injectors fit inside it. Interchanging them requires a fuel rail conversion.
Impedance: High impedance injectors have 10-14 ohms resistance; low impedance injectors have 2-4 ohms. They are not interchangeable without modifying injector drivers.
Latency: This measures the time for an injector to fully open after receiving a signal, typically in milliseconds or microseconds. It's crucial for tuning, and DW provides battery offset data at various pressures and voltages in their General Characterization Summaries.

Maintenance and Warranty:
Servicing: While there's no fixed maintenance schedule, servicing injectors every 3-4 years is advisable. Fuel system cleaners can serve as preventive maintenance but may not resolve existing issues, in which case professional servicing is recommended.
Warranty: DW injectors come with a comprehensive 3-year warranty for the original purchaser.
